Pathways to Excellence
is the official journal of
The Guild of Independent Recording Artists,
an organization devoted to acknowledging excellence in independently produced music. The publication features recording-artists primarily from the USA, Canada, and international independent artists who distribute their CDs in the USA. The publication is a seasonal journal, published 2-4 times per year, which highlights the achievements of self-published, self-managed, and self-produced recording artists who consistently show excellence in their craft.
Our publication focuses primarily on the creative works of independent and self-produced recording artists. The content of the publication includes interviews & articles, and "how to info" for self managed recording artists. However, we will also cover points of interest for music-fans and music-students as well.
Both the organization and Ezine are genre specific, focusing primarily on the following genres of music and their sub-genres:
Classical, Rock, Pop, Country, Metal, Alt-Rock, AOR (album oriented rock), Progressive Rock, New-Age, World, Celtic.
While other genres may be considered in the future, for the present time we will stick to those areas the editors and writers have the most experience with and the ones our readers enjoy listening to the most.
